Our Story
On December 12, 2021 a group of Christ-followers from a variety of different backgrounds came together to attempt something unique. We believed that the desire Jesus had for His church was to make disciples (i.e. students/learners) of His. Therefore, we began to brainstorm how we could most effectively fulfill Christ’s mission. We landed on three guiding pillars – Intentional Discipleship, Biblical Community, and Selfless Service.
Intentional Discipleship
Discipleship is the heart of our church. A disciple is a student or learner. So, a disciple of Jesus is someone who is a student or learner of Him and His teachings. As a local church, we feel it’s our privilege to carry Christ’s message and teachings to as many people as we can in our communities. Whether you follow Jesus or not, we’d love to help you learn more about Him. We’ve found that discipleship happens most effectively through House Churches and 1-on-1 mentorship.
Biblical Community
In the 1st century, the church gathered often in large and small settings. They primarily gathered in homes to study God’s word, fellowship, share meals, share resources, serve one another and pray. Biblical community unites, strengthens, and encourages us. We gather 1-on-1, in house churches, and on Sunday mornings for discipleship and worship. We also occasionally hold “Fairview Fellowships.” Fairview Fellowships are opportunities for us to connect with people across and within house churches.
House churches gather on Sunday or Wednesday evenings. Find one near your home here.
On Sunday’s we gather for cooperate worship at 10:00am at Nock It Archery Center (2502 Co Rd 4421, Rhome, TX 76078). Learn more about our Sunday Gathering here.
Selfless Service
Jesus gave us the most humble example of service when He gave His life as a ransom for our’s. In light of His example, we are called to serve one another and our community well. We use our spiritual gifts to build up the body of Christ. We have Strategic Partners in our community and around the globe who we serve with people and funds.
Serving at Fairview Church develops ownership, purpose, and relationships. We believe God has uniquely gifted every Christ-follower to be used within His church. When we serve we begin to feel part of God’s greater purpose and we build stronger bonds with one another. Learn more about your spiritual gifts and how to begin serving here.
Strategic Partners are organizations who we support to advance their mission. Find out more about our Strategic Partners here.
Our church is overseen by a plurality of men who meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:7-9
Our church finances are overseen by a team.
House Church
House Churches are our primary means of discipleship and ministry. Each House Church is overseen and served by a House Church Pastor. House Churches are always open, welcoming to all, open to children, and open to multiplication.
